The Miami Dolphins came into the 2023 NFL season as one of the teams that was in the running for being the best offense in the league, with Tua Tagovailoa leading the way.
After the Week 3 offensive explosion against the Denver Broncos, there may no longer be a debate over which team in the league has the best offense, as Miami may be second to none. Tagovailoa and company put 70 points against the Broncos on Sunday, with Sean Payton’s squad having no answer for Miami’s relentless offense via ESPN.
In one of the most lopsided games in NFL history, the Dolphins pummeled the Broncos 70-20 on Sunday as the league’s best offense went berserk in its home opener.
The Dolphins were virtually unstoppable on the ground and through the air, with the team scoring five passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns, which is incredible. Miami’s 70 points is the most points scored in the NFL since 1966.
The point total marked a franchise record and was the most points any NFL team has scored since Washington scored 72 against the New York Giants in 1966.
Two things can be determined by this historic win for the Dolphins, as it has become clear that the Payton-Wilson experiment isn’t working in Denver and that Miami is the real deal. Mike McDaniel’s squad is looking like a legitimate Super Bowl title contender, with a potent offense and a formidable defense.
