After a summer filled with speculation about Damian Lillard’s immediate future in the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to swoop in out of nowhere toward the end of the offseason in order to pull off a three-way trade with the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers to acquire the superstar guard.
The blockbuster trade sent shockwaves throughout the NBA, with the dynamic duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lillard being as imposing as any duo in the league today. Although the Boston Celtics made a trade for Jrue Holiday shortly after this deal, the Bucks are still expected to be a force to be reckoned with, where their debut set to take place this weekend against the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena via ESPN.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard will both play Sunday night against the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena, Milwaukee Bucks coach Adrian Griffin announced Wednesday on “NBA Today.”
Even though this game is only a preseason game, it will be must-see TV for NBA fans, with these two going up against Anthony Davis and LeBron James in what could be an NBA Finals preview.

New Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin talked about the upcoming debut of this superstar duo and how excited the team is about what they’re about to see on the basketball floor.
“We want to see them out there in live competitive play,” Griffin said Wednesday on “NBA Today.” “It’s an exciting time for us, but it’s a process and we’re taking it step by step.”
Although there’s no telling whether this duo will work, they will be an intimidating sight to start the season and could perhaps take the Bucks to the next level as intended.
